You can book a bartender in Los Angeles inside 48 hours of your party, and a rush surcharge of 20 percent is added to bookings made in that window. All staff carry a 4 hour minimum, so one bartender works out to 4 hours x $70 = $280, plus a $100 service charge. Guest count, address and start time are enough to price it.

What a booking inside 48 hours actually involves

Nothing about the service changes. The bartender who works a party booked two days out is the same W-2 employee of Platinum Bartenders LLC who works a wedding booked six months out: RBS certified, covered by general liability, liquor liability and workers' compensation insurance, and carrying their own bar tools. What changes is the price. A booking made inside 48 hours of the event adds 20 percent.

The 4 hour minimum still applies. If your party runs two hours, you are still booking four. That is worth knowing before you decide to cut the bar short.

What a rush booking costs

Take one bartender for four hours at a home 12 miles out:
